Medication is never to be given to any child by the babysitter under any circumstances.

DO'S AND DONT'S

Do's

Always have some toys, books, or games suitable to the ages of the Children.

Aim to be at your destination at least 5 mins early, and remember to make allowance for parking availability.

Use the Babysitter Instruction Pad for the important details:

1) Where the parents are going to and the telephone number to where they can be reached. Never hesitate to contact parents in an event of an emergency.

2) Always ask parents to write down full names of children . . . this could be very important in an emergency. Ask for the keys in case of any emergency.

ALWAYS . . .

Tidy Up after playing with the children or feeding them a meal.

Always leave the place as tidy as you found it.

Ensure you are completely familiar with the Hotels evacuation plan in case of an emergency

Upon arrival close balcony doors on high rise buildings or any thing that a child could fall from.

Ask parents what time the children should be in bed and make sure that children are aware of this.

Write your HEAVEN SENT HELP receipt for the clients at the completion of your sit.

ALWAYS Leave a Heaven Sent Help card behind with your name on it.

Don'ts

NEVER . . .

Smoke. Smoking is not permitted while babysitting any children any time

Drink alcohol. (even if it is offered) Nor consume any restricted substance or any non-prescribed drug prior to or doing a sit.

Leave the hotel room, unit or house or leave the children unsupervised,

Eat or drink anything from the clients' room or house unless given permission to do so.

Use the phone except for an emergency.

REMEMBER . . .

YOU are solely responsible for the children under your care.

NO OTHER PERSONS IS TO BE ALLOWED ENTRY to the hotel room, house or unit unless permission as been given by parents. Similarly, the children are not to be left with any person other than the parents unless written permission has been obtained directly from the parents.

IMPORTANT

Never use any type of physical action or contact on any child. This is a crime.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations that are made two hours prior to booking will not be charged the minimum fee. Cancellations received within the 2 hours prior to booked time will attract cancellation fee.

We do ask that you present yourself in a professional manner, as indeed you would expect if a carer was babysitting your child.
